The expansion plugs and sealing plates are for ships, offshore installations and land based industry. In order to comply with today's strict regulations, the need for oil pollution control through a simple solution is high. This is seen as essential as sealing leaks, plugging holes are almost everywhere.
The IMO regulations, the Marpol convention and OPA 90 gives guidelines for the oil pollution control and oil spill collection capacity required on board your ships.
The Pollocks series of expansion plugs and sealing plugs offers a quick, simple and efficient solution for sealing off scruppers, drain, and deck edge coamings.
Pollocks expansion plugs
Pollock expansion plugs are made from durable materials, with oil and chemical resistant cuffs, precision moulded in neoprene rubber. The top and bottom sheaves are high pressure moulded in a glass reinforced composite material, with SS316 stainless steel centre pin and metal parts.
The Pollock range of sealing plugs is also available in non-sparking versions for tankers and gas carriers. Special versions with viton sealing cuffs, resistant to most chemicals and for use on chemical carriers, are available upon request.
The range of Pollocks expansion plugs
Standard Pollock plug:
Delivered in sizes from 35-190mm. Sizes outside the range can be ordered.
Simple operation, put in place and twist the T-handle for tightening up the sealing cuff.
A bleed-through option for pumping through liquids is available. Please specify with order.
Standard Pollock inside plug:
Delivered in sizes from 190-550mm. Sizes outside the range can be ordered.
Simple operation, put in place and hold the T-handle firmly and twist the winged screw nut for
tightening up the sealing cuff.
The bleed-through option for pumping through liquids is standard.
Pollock with twist lock:
Designed for simple and quick operation.
When inserted, the T-handle is twisted until the sealing cuff loosely connects with the inside of the
hole, then the handle is pushed down, which causes it to tighten up the sealing cuff and lock it firmly
in place.
Pollock sealing plug with claw:
Designed as a scupper sealing, and delivered in 6-8 inch sizes.
The claw is hooked on to the down-hole bar, and the sealing ring is placed over the hole and
tightened up for sealing. Special version for other means of fastening available.
Pollock Sealing Plates
Pollock sealing plates are meant to seal off deck edge coamings, girder openings and any other openings or holes. Simple design make them easy to fit and easy to use, ant they are delivered in a multitude of shapes and sizes. Special versions, sizes or applications can be ordered.
Pollock sealing pates:
Delivered in a multitude of shapes and standard sizes from 100x150mm size up to 200x300mm.
Simple construction makes them easy to fit and easy to use, and they provide good seal.
Metal parts are made from zinc plated mild steel. Special versions, sizes or applications can be
ordered.
